Since our last post on the blog we have (hopefully) seen the end of restrictions and the return of masonry to our lives. No doubt this is a most welcome return to all our members and to those still anxious to join our fraternity.
This year we have installed our 110th worshipful Master, W.Bro Dr Chris Kent who has presided successfully over the lodge this past year and has successfully overseen many fantastic ceremonies.
We have successfully initiated two new members into the Wyggeston Lodge, Bros Mehman Ismayilli and Baljinder Singh Dyal, both of whom have been welcome into the lodge and have already become vital members.
Last month we also successfully completed our first raising since December 2019. Raising our chief steward, Bro Ben Sarussi to the sublime degree of Master Mason in a fantastic and well conducted ceremony.
Aside from these fantastic events, several members of the lodge also took part in walking the 100 mile Leicestershire Round in aid of raising funds for the 2022 Festival.
Finally, the last year has also seen an increase in social events. From drinks in the evenings, walking trips, coffee trips, home gatherings in aid of the festival, and visits to the UGLE Universities Scheme Conference.
After nearly a two year break, the past year has been a great year for the Wyggeston Lodge and we do not doubt the next year will be even better.
