On the 15th November 2019, brethren of the Wyggeston Lodge were witness not only to the installation of their 109th master of the lodge; they were also privileged to witness the installation of the youngest ever Master in the history of the lodge, Bro Alexander Pohl.
Having been initiated into Wyggeston Lodge 3448 in 2011 whilst still a student at the University of Leicester and being the first universities scheme initiate, Alex has quickly risen through the ranks of Freemasonry.
At the young age of 28 and already having made it to the chair of King Solomon, along with his newly invested Senior and Junior Wardens. Namely, Bro. Dr. Christopher Kent and Bro. Peter Clark, and with a combined age of 90, Wyggeston Lodge can surely be proud to have such a young and energetic team!
Other officers of the lodge were also invested for the coming year and wonderful night was had by all.
Wyggeston Lodge was also honoured to okay host to The Provincial Grand Senior Warden, R.W Bro Jonathan Varley, who presented the Warrant of the lodge to the newly installed master.
At the festive board we were once again treated to an amazing three course meal, complete with a gorgeous bottle of Port and a rather rowdy rendition of the Masters Song performed by the newly installed Junior Warden, Bro. Peter Clark.
After a great year with W.Bro John Harvey as master of the lodge, which saw many new initiates and raisings, along with great social events. There’s no doubt that the coming year will be just as wonderful for the lodge.
